Nuno Ramalho was born in 1975. He lives and works in Porto. He has a Degree in Sculpture from the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Porto and possess a Master’s degree in New Genres at the San Francisco Art Institute. Since 1999 is working in the visual arts, both individually and in collaboration with other artists, in areas such as design, installation, sculpture, performance, sound, video and curatorial practices.
Participated in solo and group exhibitions in Portugal, Brazil, Spain, Norway, Russia and the United States of America. In 2002 he was a resident artist at Triangle France in Marseille, France, and in 2004 was one of the nominees for the EDP New Artists award. Fellow of the Fulbright Comission / Fundação Carmona e Costa in 2006 and 2007, also received the Louise Woods Memorial Scholarship. Between 2000 and 2005 he collaborated with the Education Department of the Museu de Serralves.
